As a sandblaster you will be responsible for:

Using high pressure air, along with sand, to remove any rust or debris from steel products in order to prepare them for paint.

Wearing the proper PPE(Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.

Inspect sandblasting equipment for proper function before use, including checking air compressors, hoses, and nozzles.

Set up sandblasting machines and ensure all components are correctly assembled and adjusted for optimal performance.

Sandblast surfaces to remove coatings, rust, old paint, and contaminants, returning the material to its original condition or preparing it for new coatings.

Ensure the work environment is safe by setting up proper ventilation and containment systems to manage dust and debris.

Regularly clean and maintain sandblasting equipment, including hoses, nozzles, and air compressors, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Conduct post-blasting inspections to confirm that surfaces are clean, properly prepared, and free of contaminants.

Safely handle and store abrasive materials to prevent contamination or degradation.

Identify and troubleshoot problems with sandblasting equipment, such as clogging, leaks, or pressure issues.
