As a painter you will be responsible for:

Painting grain bin hoppers, steel beams and other metal products.

Accurately mix paints, primers, and coatings according to specifications to ensure the correct consistency, color, and chemical properties.

Use proper ratios and follow the manufacturer’s instructions when mixing paint to avoid inconsistencies and defects.

Apply primer coats to steel surfaces to ensure better paint adhesion and corrosion resistance.

Use spray guns, brushes, or rollers to apply the primer uniformly over the steel surface.

Operate spray equipment to apply even layers of paint to steel surfaces, ensuring an efficient and smooth finish.

Ensure the paint is evenly distributed and free from streaks, runs, or bubbles.

Ensure that surfaces are properly prepared and free of contaminants that could affect the quality of the finish.

Mask and tape off areas that should not be painted, such as edges, seams, or parts with mechanical components, to ensure a clean finish.

Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment, such as spray guns, brushes, rollers, and air compressors.

Apply paint in the correct thickness layers, ensuring it provides adequate coverage and protection to the steel surface.

Adhere to safety guidelines while using paints, solvents, and chemicals, including wearing protective gear such as respirators, gloves, and goggles.

Safely handle hazardous materials, including toxic solvents, lead-based paints, and other chemicals used in painting.
