Equipment operators are responsible for:

  • Safe and efficient operation of heavy duty vehicles

  • Conducting daily inspections of equipment to check for any defects, malfunctions, or wear-and-tear.

  • Performing basic maintenance on equipment.

  • Ensuring that equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use to extend its lifespan and reduce breakdowns.

  • Safely load, transport, and unload materials.

  • Transport equipment between different work locations, ensuring that it is secured properly.

  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements when moving oversized or heavy machinery across public roads.

  • Follow company safety guidelines and government regulations to avoid accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

  • Be mindful of weather conditions, such as rain or extreme temperatures, and adjust your driving accordingly to prevent accidents or equipment failure.
