A Welder will be responsible for:​

Perform welding tasks using GMAW and SMAW

Cut, shape, and fabricate metal components to specifications using plasma cutting, grinding, bandsaw, iron worker, shear and brake press

Safe operation of forklifts

Assemble and weld metal parts based on engineering drawings or blueprints.

Select the appropriate materials for welding based on the type of metals and project requirements.

Set up and maintain welding equipment, including power sources, torches, and safety gear.

Inspect welding equipment for wear and tear and ensure it is functioning properly.

Follow all safety protocols and use protective gear such as welding helmets, gloves, and flame-resistant clothing.

Monitor the welding process to ensure welds are strong, consistent, and meet quality standards.

Adjust welding techniques or machine settings as necessary to correct defects or improve quality.

Continuously improve welding skills by staying current with new techniques, equipment, and materials.

Minimize waste by carefully planning welding tasks and material usage.

Weld a variety of metals, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and alloys.
